High School

The Innovation

“Building precept upon precept is the only way to become highly skilled at anything.”

PERSUADING TOWARD WISDOM - THE INNOVATION

In high school, students learn to synthesize knowledge into wise, purposeful expression. They wrestle with enduring questions of truth, virtue, and the human condition while developing the ability to think logically, communicate clearly, and lead with integrity.

Learning is encouraged to extend beyond the classroom through flexible, real-world engagement, including dual enrollment, internships, workplace experience, entrepreneurship, civic involvement, and emerging fields such as AI and digital finance. Students are not expected to learn everything they will ever need but to gain the wisdom and tools to keep learning, adapting, and influencing for life.

Grounded in our three pillars, academic excellence, skill development, and real-world experience, this stage is designed to raise and release students into confident leadership. Students leave prepared to live out their God-given purpose, loving Jesus and applying wisdom to service, leadership, and faithful engagement in the world.

    Individual Classes

Individual course enrollment offers the highest level of flexibility for families who are intentionally curating their student’s high school experience. This option is ideal for families who wish to remain fully responsible for transcripts, credits, and graduation planning while still accessing the academic excellence, quality instruction, and rich learning environment provided by Awaken Academy.

Class Days and times are TBD

  • Each course is thoughtfully curated using high-quality curriculum resources, combined with original instruction shaped by a biblical worldview, teacher expertise, and subject mastery. We unapologetically use faith-based materials where appropriate, while also drawing from strong academic sources to prepare students for thoughtful engagement with the world.

These final four years are priceless for shaping conviction, discernment, and belief. Rather than surrendering influence during this critical stage, we intentionally guide students to think biblically, reason clearly, and develop wisdom rooted in truth.

Students receive a course syllabus and scope & sequence for each class prior to the start of the school year. Teachers provide weekly assignments, updates, and communication through our LMS, ensuring clarity and consistency for both students and parents.

All core books and class materials are included in tuition, with only a few personal student supplies required.

Our courses are designed to meet or exceed state standards but are not A-G aligned.

  • At the high school level, students engage in intentional elective pathways designed to build both skill proficiency and practical life readiness. Through repeated exposure and increasing responsibility within select electives, students deepen their abilities while developing habits such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and initiative. Elective offerings also support graduation requirements, including foreign language and visual and performing arts, drawn from our four elective categories:

Art & Imagination, Life Skills & Leadership, Innovation & Discovery, and Health & Wellness.

Typically during the junior year, students are encouraged to expand learning to meet their individual post-graduation goals through dual enrollment, apprenticeships, internships, and work experience. This flexible model allows students to apply their skills in real-world settings while continuing to grow academically and personally, preparing them for college, career, and purposeful influence.
