Pre-K
Protecting Innocence
Everything begins with play.
“PLAY nurtures innocence while equipping children with joy, love, emotional awareness, and the early foundations of learning.”
P – Playful Learning Children at this stage learn best through movement, imagination, and discovery. Play is not a break from learning it is the work of early childhood.
L – Love & Social Growth Relationships are the heart of early learning. In a loving environment, children practice sharing, kindness, listening, and friendship.
A – Awareness of Feelings Developing emotional intelligence is vital in the early years. Through guided play and gentle teaching, children learn to recognize, express, and manage their feelings in safe ways.
Y – Young Foundations Early academics are introduced gently through songs, stories, and play—letters, numbers, colors, and patterns. These become the building blocks for later literacy and math.

Our Pre-K cohort offers two age-based tracks that meet twice a week. Families with 4-5-year-olds gather on Mondays and Wednesdays, while families with 3-4-year-olds meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All families are invited to begin the morning by attending our elementary chapel at 8:30 a.m. (parents remain with their children). From 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., cohorts come together for a morning of learning through fun and play.
Supported by a guided curriculum coach, parents take turns leading cohort activities. Families can expect an engaging experience where routines provide structure, play sparks learning, and every child is encouraged to explore and grow at their own pace.

Young learners grow through hands-on exploration. Each meeting is thoughtfully centered on learning through play: building, creating, moving, and imagining together. Through Bible lessons, stories, art, music, sensory experiences, and guided free play, children develop early academic skills, social confidence, and a lasting sense of curiosity.
-
Children must be 3-years-old and fully potty trained by the first meeting. Awaken Academy is not a licensed daycare; therefore, parents are required to take shifts volunteering and assisting with activities in our program. Additionally, non-licensing and parent volunteering exempts our program from vaccine requirements.

The program follows a sample school year to familiarize children with the routine of an academic year.
Costs = $3000 + enrollment/application fee
